Individual Retirement Accounts are tax-deferred investments for
retirement. Some or all of your IRA contribution may be tax deductible
(Be sure to check with your tax advisor.) We offer Traditional, Roth, and
Coverdell ESA IRAs. This is a special purpose account. An agreement between
the member and the Credit Union must be signed before the account is opened.
All transactions are governed by IRS regulations and the IRA account agreement.
IRA Share Account
The minimum deposit to open an IRA Share Account is $25.00. You
must maintain a minimum daily balance of $100.00 to earn dividends. Dividends
are calculated daily, compounded, and paid monthly.

IRA Share Certificate
Share Certificates offer a preferred fixed dividend rate in exchange for
your commitment to leave funds on deposit for a set period. Early withdrawals
are subject to a dividend penalty.
Minimum deposit to open a certificate is $1,000.00

IRA Step-up Share Certificate
IRA Step-up Share Certificates offer the option to increase the interest rate, one time, to the rate Indianhead Credit Union offers on that Step-up Share Certificate at the time the option is used. The new rate would be in effect for the remainder of the term for the Certificate. The option may be excersised any time during the term. Step-up Share Certificates do not automatically renew and early withdrawls are subject to a dividend penalty. The minimum deposit to open a Step-up certificate is $2,500.00.
